HOW NOT TO BE DAUNTED BY YOUR CQC INSPECTION?
As you know health & social care is ever changing and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) have developed a new approach to regulating providers.
The aim for this new single assessment framework is for it to come into effect in January 2023, up until then CQC will continue inspecting under the existing framework.
This is to ensure the focus is on inspections being based on what matters to those people and families using health and social care providers and services.
The new framework covers all areas from registration, how CQC view local authorities an integrated care systems.
The new framework covers 4 key elements, each with a number of relevant sub-element topics.
The CQC will then use the information gathered under 7 sections of interest in order to produce the inspection report.
The easiest way for you to not be daunted by the necessary CQC inspections is to ensure that you, colleagues, staff, and managers are on top of the 5 key questions they always ask:
- Are they safe?
- Are they effective?
- Are they caring?
- Are they responsive to people’s needs?
- Are they well-led?
All of the above are covered under a varied and thorough personnel training programme to ensure that the training is always relevant and in date.
Occuteach are able to offer bespoke training packages covering all mandatory training topics you may require to help you ensure you are best placed when receiving your CQC inspection.
