Emergency First Aid at Work

Course Overview:
This course enables a first aider to provide emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work. It covers the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) syllabus and equips first aiders with the skills to respond to a range of specific injuries and illnesses.

Learners will develop the skills and confidence to help someone who is:

• Unresponsive and breathing

• Having a seizure

• Choking

• Bleeding heavily

• Suffering from shock

• Experiencing burns

The course also includes information on:

• Assessing a casualty

• Monitoring a casualty

• Where to get help

• Responding to electrical incidents

• Accident recording and reporting

• The control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH)

Certification Validity: 3 Years (Annual refresher recommended)
