Course Overview:
The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (England) is a competence-based qualification which has been developed with employers who provide adult care. The qualification covers the knowledge and skills required to work in a leadership and management role in a range of settings where services support individuals with different needs.

The qualification contains units which are competence based and several knowledge based. The qualification contains Skills for Care's minimum requirements for developing and confirming the competence of those who are working within adult care services in England as managers.

Entry Requirements: You don’t need any formal qualifications to enrol on this course. Completion of the level 3 Diploma in Adult Care is recommended. Learners will need to produce full and articulate answers to questions. Learners will need to have a good standard of written and verbal communication skills.

  • The qualification will be assessed by a portfolio of evidence. We’ll assess your practical skills and workplace performance. Your personal assessor will also visit you at work or conduct observation’s Personal Discussions via Teams to review your progress towards the qualifications.

    All assessments need to be passed, and each will directly assess the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the diploma standard.
