Everything you need to know about training and qualifications with Occuteach
Occuteach is a dedicated education and training organisation providing high-quality multi-sector training, Ofqual-regulated qualifications and bespoke learning opportunities across the UK. We specialise in health and social care, commercial, clinical and childcare training, delivered by experienced industry professionals at our Bristol training centre or on-site at your workplace.
Our main training centre is at 90–92 Shirehampton Road, Bristol, BS9 2DR. We also have a satellite centre in Torquay at the Torbay Business Centre. In addition to our centres, we deliver on-site training anywhere in the UK and offer virtual delivery via Microsoft Teams.
Yes. Occuteach delivers CPD accredited short courses and Ofqual-regulated qualifications through recognised awarding bodies including ICQ and ATHE. Our training meets the requirements of CQC, Ofsted, Skills for Care and NHS trusts. We are proud winners of the Corporate Vision Award in both 2023 and 2024.
We deliver training and qualifications across multiple sectors including health and social care, commercial and workplace safety, clinical nursing skills, childcare and early years, business administration, education, hospitality, information technology and employability. Our courses and qualifications range from Level 1 through to Level 5.
We offer CPD accredited courses across four specialist areas: Health & Social Care (safeguarding, dementia, mental health, first aid, medication awareness and more), Commercial (fire safety, manual handling, COSHH, food hygiene, leadership), Clinical (catheterisation, venepuncture, PEG feeding, syringe drivers) and Childcare (paediatric first aid, safeguarding children, behaviour management). Most courses run for half a day to two days.
Short courses are focused training sessions lasting half a day to two days, resulting in a CPD accredited certificate. Qualifications are longer, more in-depth programmes assessed against national standards, resulting in an Ofqual-regulated certificate, diploma or award. Courses are ideal for immediate skills and compliance needs, while qualifications provide formal career progression pathways.
Yes. We deliver on-site training anywhere in the UK for teams of any size. This is ideal for care homes, hospitals, nurseries, schools and businesses needing to train staff without the disruption of travel. We tailor content to your specific workplace needs and can arrange flexible scheduling to suit your operation.
Yes. Every learner receives a certificate upon successful completion. Short course certificates are CPD accredited and issued digitally, with hard copies available on request. Qualification certificates are Ofqual-regulated and awarded through the relevant awarding body. All certificates are valid proof of training for CQC inspections, Ofsted visits and employer audits.
We offer Ofqual-regulated qualifications from Level 1 to Level 5 across seven sectors: health and social care, business administration, childcare, education, hospitality, information technology and employability. These include certificates, diplomas and awards, awarded by ICQ and recognised by employers, CQC, Ofsted and Skills for Care.
Current learners can access the iCanQualify portal using the link at the top of this page. The portal is where you view your assignments, upload evidence, track your progress and communicate with your assessor. If you are having trouble logging in, contact your assessor or email info@occuteach.co.uk for support.
Completion times vary depending on the level and type of qualification. Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications typically take 6 to 12 weeks. Level 3 qualifications may take 3 to 6 months, while Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications can take 6 to 12 months or longer. We work at your pace and provide dedicated assessor support throughout.
Yes. All our qualifications are Ofqual-regulated, meaning they are nationally recognised across England and accepted by employers, regulatory bodies and professional organisations throughout the UK. They are listed on the Register of Regulated Qualifications and carry the same weight as qualifications delivered by colleges and universities.

We offer flexible learning plans tailored to your individual needs, additional support for learners with learning differences, and access to our learner resources library. Our team is available by phone and email to help with any questions or concerns.
