iCQ Level 2 Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes

Overview

A qualification that provides knowledge of diabetes, including its causes, symptoms, and how it is managed. It covers topics such as treatment options, lifestyle factors, monitoring, and supporting individuals living with diabetes. The course is suitable for individuals working in, or planning to work in, health and social care settings, as well as anyone who wants to improve their understanding of diabetes and how to support those affected by it.

Units & Modules

 provide an understanding of the different types of diabetes and how they can occur |  develop awareness of how the onset of Type 2 diabetes can be delayed with lifestyle changes develop understanding of diabetes diagnosis and initial care |  develop understanding of on-going care and treatment of diabetes to control blood sugar levels.

Assessment

The qualification will be assessed by a portfolio of evidence. Your personal assessor will conduct monthly meetings via Teams to review and develop your progress towards the qualification. | All assessments need to be passed, and each will directly assess the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the qualification.
