Overview

The iCQ Level 3 Award for IT Users (ITQ) (RQF) is a short qualification designed to develop advanced digital and IT skills that can be applied in the workplace, education, or personal projects. | The Award provides focused training in specific IT applications or skills areas, such as spreadsheets, word processing, databases, or presentations, while also strengthening learners’ ability to use IT to solve problems, manage information, and improve productivity. | It is ideal for learners who already have IT skills at Level 2 and want to build higher-level competence in one or two targeted areas without completing a larger qualification.

Units & Modules

Learners must complete units totalling a minimum of 9 credits. Units are chosen to suit learner needs and career goals. Example units include: | - Word Processing Software | - Spreadsheet Software | - Database Software | - Presentation Software | - Improving Productivity Using IT | - Desktop Publishing Software | - IT Security for Users | - Using Collaborative Technologies | - Specialist or industry-related software | The flexibility allows learners to focus on the IT applications most relevant to their progression route.

Assessment

The qualification will be assessed by a portfolio of evidence. Your personal assessor will conduct monthly meetings via Teams to review and develop your progress towards the qualification. | All assessments need to be passed, and each will directly assess the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the qualification.
