Course Overview
This course is designed for staff working in high-risk environments where there is potential for violence, aggression, or challenging behaviour. The training promotes safe, respectful, and legally compliant methods of de-escalation, conflict resolution, and – where absolutely necessary – physical intervention.

- Use verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques confidently

- Understand the legal framework around use of force (including the Mental Capacity Act and Human Rights Act)
- Perform safe, approved physical interventions (breakaway techniques, holds, guided escorts)
- Prioritise safety, dignity, and respect in every interaction
