A qualification that provides knowledge of the principles and practices involved in supporting individuals who are approaching the end of life. It covers topics such as person-centred care, communication, emotional support, and maintaining dignity and comfort for individuals and their families. The course is designed for individuals working in, or preparing to work in, health and social care roles where providing compassionate end-of-life support may be part of their responsibilities.

The qualification will be assessed by a portfolio of evidence.
