iCQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England) (RQF)

Overview

A qualification that develops the leadership and management skills required to run and manage health and social care or children and young people’s services. It covers areas such as leading practice, safeguarding, quality improvement, and managing teams and resources. The course is designed for managers, deputy managers, or those preparing for leadership roles in health, social care, or children’s services.

Units & Modules

- Work in partnership in health and social care or children and young people’s settings | - Use and develop systems that promote communication | - Undertake a research project within services for health and social care or children and young people | - Develop health and safety and risk management policies, procedures and practices in health and social care or children and young people’s settings | - Promote professional development | - Champion equality, diversity and inclusion | Additional optional units selected based on your preferences. It has six pathways – three for those working with adults and three for those working with children and young people.

Assessment

The qualification will be assessed by a portfolio of evidence. Your personal assessor will conduct monthly meetings via Teams to review and develop your progress towards the qualification. | All assessments need to be passed, and each will directly assess the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the qualification.
